Can we ring ahead to order our food?
Absolutely! Call us on 01752 822277 ahead of time, if you would like to pre-order. Unfortunately, we do not deliver.
Do you cover dietary requirements?
We aim to provide a selection of foods, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available from the menus.
Will I be able to park nearby?
There is plenty of on-street parking in the area, so you shouldn’t have any issue when you are hungry!

A Foodies’ Delight in Rame
If you are searching for fish and chips in Rame, or have a craving for something a little more unconventional than you would normally find in a fish and chip shop, our specials menu will fit the bill. Although we serve the traditional fish and chips with our light and crispy batter, plus other food items you would expect, our weekly specials and deals cater for those with a more adventurous palette.

You will find an array of dishes including half a kilo of southern fried chicken with chips and gravy; Sriracha cauliflower; mozzarella dippers, pizza bites, battered halloumi with sweet chilli; chorizo and smoked cheese burger or try our dirty duck fries or katsu king prawn fries, topped of with a slice of our freshly-baked brownie of the week.
Local Suppliers are the Best
At Ben’s Plaice, we believe that supporting our local community and food producers is key. Using top quality ingredients is vital, and knowing where they come from allows us to maintain quality control in addition to boosting the local economy. We source our potatoes from a local farmer in Downderry, and Philip Warren Butchers supply us with their superior dry-aged steak burgers. Our cod is Icelandic and is fished from deep waters, as it is the best quality available, and the majority of our fish is MSC certified, and bought from local fish suppliers.
Freshly baked on the premises, our ‘brownies of the week’ with amazing flavour combinations, cheesecakes and other sweet offerings are often on sale – check out our weekly specials on Facebook or our shop specials board to see what takes your fancy!
